The Value of 1 Preview

The 29th season of the Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre continues with the premiere of The Value of 1. Choreographed to recorded text and a wide range of music including works by Ingrid Michaelson, Matthew Ryan, Jewel, Ane Brun, Gramatik, and The Alternate Routes, the work explores the power unique to each individual and what might actually comprise one’s legacy.

The work is set on the 20 dancers from the PTDT, the PTDT Apprentice Company, and The Third Stage, a multi-generational, contemporary company, allowing choreographer Trokanski to reflect the wide range of human experience as we grapple with our sense of personal identity and individual importance. Thought provoking and humorous, it’s an entertaining romp through personal and cultural perspectives and appropriate for all ages.

Performances begin on Sunday, April 6, with a 3:00pm showing.
Performances continue on Friday and Saturday, April 11 & 12, at 8:00pm.

Tickets are available at the Pamela Trokanski Dance Workshop or online at Brown Paper Tickets.
